2019 - 2021 President's Message - Darel Steed

The Last 2 years have been if nothing else interesting.  I think to add stressful would be appropriate. During this period of time  I have found it hard when the Government's actions were and are inconsistent and at times contradictory. Many face Physician shortages and unhappy staff. I believe that experience gives us the tools to deal with challenges as they come. I am sure we are not sitting at our desks waiting for the next problem to happen.  It has been hard not meeting in-person and being able to network while away from the office. I have truly missed our in person  annual conferences. There have been unexpected benefits from the changes over the last few years. We have learned how to do things a little differently. I have really benefited from my belonging to the Association. I often feel like I can do this after talking to others. To all of you I say thank you. We are all better leaning on each other. I hope that we can continue to grow and move forward together. My goal is to ensure better  use of our website in providing information and resources the will help each of us in our daily  jobs. The other change I have notice recently is that patients have less patience. Hopefully we are now in an upward trend. 

I am hoping that that this association will continue to be of value for you as it has been for me.

I  look forward to the up coming year and the hope of getting together at the next in person conference.
