President's Message - Marena Seifert

 I am honored to represent the AACM and my fellow Clinic Managers as the Association President for the 2016-2017 Year.

I personally wish to thank Lesa Zimmerman for all the time and effort she has devoted to the AACM this year. As the membership is aware the executive continue to have the full workloads associated with running busy medical clinics, with Lesa leading the executive as president it has been a successful year for the AACM.

I honestly have to say that my role as a clinic manager has changed so much over the last 10 years. The time and knowledge required to fulfill our roles as Managers at times can seem overwhelming, especially with all the changes happening within the medical systems. I know for me personally being a part of this association has been a source of information, knowledge and friendship that I am so grateful to have. I hope each of you feel the same and encourage you to share your experiences as part of the AACM membership with non members. By sharing your personal experiences with others not only is the possibility there to increase our membership but they will see the benefit of being a member by supplying them with tools and information to enhance their daily work routines. If there is at anytime over the next year questions or issues that you wish to discuss please do not hesitate to contact myself or one of the other Executive Members.

The new website will prove to be an asset not only helping make the executives’ tasks less labor intensive but now all members and their contact information is easily accessible. Please note you are able to update any information on your profile easily. When you have time log in and check it out.

Over the next year will continue to work with our Vendors, build on our connections with AMA, College, OIPC, and to integrate our website with the MGMAC.

Thank you for this opportunity and I look forward to seeing all of you and hopefully some new Clinic Managers at our Conference in Red Deer in 2017. The final date and location will be announced once we have secured the location.
